I found an orange watch that I like! It’s called Mergulhador MRG3. Apparently it’s a revival of an original 1970’s dive watch.

“Originally designed and produced for both military and civilian use in the Portuguese market, the Mathey-Tissot Merghulador (Merghulador in Portuguese translates to "diver" in English) has, over the years, become a favorite among collectors and enthusiasts of vintage dive watches.”

This is a good overview of what you get in the box (in Russian):

that really is a nice watch

I was looking at a lot of ceramic bezels so this highly polished steel bezel threw me off, but I think it’ll be fine.

Ever heard of the Blockwatch?

Learning about it now! I will say that I’m attracted to mechanical watches for the same reasons I like physical art.

I’d like to see the provenance of the block watches be transferred to much higher quality pieces as their value increases with time. That would be really cool.

Like an OG Rolex.
