My friend Alaa Abdel Fattah has been held in an Egyptian prisions for a decade for posting information online about democracy and civil rights. This is a real case where somebody has been jailed for simply what they’ve said on social media. He called out government for their abuses of power and demanded the right of Egyptians to have the right to protest and elect their leaders.

He’s also an open source developer, hacker, husband & father, and one of the nicest people i’ve ever met. More people need to know about his plight and demand that he and all political prisioners get freed.

I support these people and your efforts, but it is hard to see them achieving anything, look at Assange for example.

You should realize that the only way is too weaken and eventually eliminate governments and Bitcoin is our best hope of doing that.

I'm not sure what you can achieve when jailing innocents for freedom of speech is so pervasive across a continents worth of land.
