lncli is also a "desktop" client 🙄. Doubt you can get anything more advanced than that.
ser, i am but a humble newb. i dont clickity clack on the keyboard to get letters to make more letters on a black screen. i tap the buttons to make the sats do stuff and that makes me happy.

You can manually rebalance by creating an invoice, selecting which first and last hops to use and paying it

seems to work. if i switch away from the app (iPhone), will it continue trying? i assume the command and timeout are sent to the node to execute and the app is just checking to see if the payment was completed until the node says "timeout" or "success".
also, the fee in the activity feed is nice, but confusing for transactions that are fee bumps as the full amount is the actual fee like this: 
It depends, some phones will kill LND in the background sooner than others but it’s usually not instant
