Which god? If I was born in India, Krishna or Ganesh? Or do you mean Odin, Mithra or Tammuz?

The only reason that Christianity survived is the literature and architecture that survived which other religions lacked and the bloated priesthood that needed to be fed and maintained by selling indulgences and the like.

God who created the heavens and the earth.

Which one?

Why does it concern you so much of what I believe?

Why does it concern you so much that I don't.

You started it...

God bless your concerned soul! πŸ˜ƒ

All you believers in the christian fantasy have no solid answers for real questions. Rather your feelings get hurt and like @Brodmode eventually tell me to fuck off, in a caring and christian way.

God bless you man! If you need help just DM me!

Seems like you are struggling to find inner peace πŸ’œπŸ™πŸ»

God are you confused. When you graduate from grade school let me know and I'll try and help deprogram you.

Peace and love brother πŸ’œπŸ«‚

Thats just a stupid way to end a discussion. But whatever keeps your demons at bay is fine with me...

I love you too πŸ’œ

All the questions you want answered are in the Bible.

The New Testament reveals the who the son of God is.

His name is Jesus. And he is the creator of the universe.

If you have a question about the Bible that doesn’t make sense to you maybe we can help.

✝️

β€œ16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I just love how you superior christians assume shit. I can read in the original Koine greek and OT Hebrew and spent years at Grace Theological Seminary in Warsaw Indiana in Old Testament studies.

I eventually came to find out that the bible is shot full of contradictions and the only thing holding the whole fantasy together is misplaced faith.

Do yourself a favor and research just one topic before you barf Jesus all over me. Where did the original account of Noah's Flood come from? Thats all. Get back to me and I'll ask you another.

Your argument is that "I think I'm superior" because I assume things, that must be the most feeble argument I've heard.

Please come up with something worth arguing instead of using the

"Ad Hominem Fallacy: This fallacy involves attacking" attacking the person making the argument rather than addressing the argument itself. "

Are you upset because I don't agree with you? Well too bad.

Deal with it, it's not the first and last time you will disagree with someone.

Now, you are telling me that you can read in Greek and Hebrew. I think thats an awesome skill to have. Good for you. I know without a doubt that you are an intelligent person but just because you have witts, doesn't mean you understand what the scriptures are communicating.

I hope one day I get the opportunity to learn hebrew or greek or even both, so I dig deeper into the knowledge of Christ.

Just because you can read and understand the surface level (the visible part) in a language doesn't mean you understood the deep structure of what the text is communicating which can be the "intent, meaning, or semantics".

You are what the bible would call spiritually blind. You don't understand although you can clearly read and hear what the bible is communicating, you fail to grasp the meaning.

"Hear this, you foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear:" Jeremiah 5:21

In linguistics :

Surface Structure: How a sentence looks or sounds.

Deep Structure: The underlying meaning or representation of a sentence.

This is the beauty of language, that it's not just about the constituent parts that forms a sentece what it is about, its the deep structure, it's semantic purposes, being able to understand the correct meaning to take action on the given instruction is what matters.

"This is the beauty of language. It's not just about the constituent parts that form a sentence. Instead, it's about the deep structure and its semantic purposes. Understanding the true meaning, so we can act on a given instruction, is what truly matters."

The medium doesn't matter, if you can get the message across via sound, code, text, images, binary, signals the surface level structure is secondary. What matters is effectively imparting the intended message to the recepient.

If the bible was full of contradictions you would have named one, not just stated it blankly. Where is your evidence?

Just to touch on the word faith, I as a Christian don't blindly misplace my faith.

I truly beleive that God spoke these words, that they are the Truth.

Romans statse that Faith comes from hearing and hearing the word of God.

See that's what you and other individuals including some christians fail to realize. Faith is not blindly beliving in something, it's actually the opposite of that. Faith is believeing in the words of Christ.

Faith literally means decree. So if I have faith, it means I have believed the decree that the Bible has given us because it's sound and truth.

"Romans 10:17 In-Context

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"

Yes faith "decree" comes from hearing the word of God.

Hebrews 11:3 King James Version (KJV)

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

This is TRUE, the bible is telling us that the worlds were not created by matter, instead they were created by his word which you can think of as computer CODE which are like instructions to do things perfectly in Christ( TRUTH).

You can think of his word as the perfect instructions to make the computer code compile. Why and how did his word create the universe? Because his word has perfect logic in it.

" In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.""

This clearly says that "LOGOS" aka LOGIC, aka REASON, ACCOUNT, SPEECH created the universe and "WITHOUT" LOGOS was not anything made that has been made.

I know you've read and heard about Jesus but what do you know about the

"Unknown God,"The Image of the Invisibe","The Lamb of God","The Gate" ,"The Bread of Life", "The Truth, the Way, The Life"?

You are assuming I take the bible literally as handed down from god himself.

Its all a lie designed by men for various reasons. The myth of Jesus was created by the Romans to pacify the Jews during the Macabee rebellion for example. The Flood of Noah tale was a myth robbed from the Sumerians and on ad nauseum.

Anyway your handle should be WordSalad as you like many other believers jump all over the place and rarely stick to or make your point, but rather attempt to baffle with a multitude of words.

Great points that I have not heard before. Thanks for sharing.

Thats probably a polite way of telling me to go away but its better than @Broadmode telling me to fuck off.

I will admit though that he said it in a caring, humble, christian sort of way lol...

God bless you sir. God loves you so much he sent his son to die for your sins.

Not mine.

You can feel as guilty about being a human as you want to though.

I am sinner and I am weak. Give all the glory to God for carrying me through life.

If you could realize that you actually did it yourself, even though you mind tricked you into believing it was Jesus, you take the next step in self-actualizing; not giving credit to anyone for your successes and not blaming anyone (the devil) for your failures.

All the gods, all the heavens, all the hells are within you.

Oh I suppose you mean Yaweh the murderous, bronze-age Israeli hill god.

Right...

God is God, no matter where you are born or what you believe. And God is also God, no matter what name a particular culture/religion/etc attaches to it.

Oh please. Tell that to the Jihadi with a knife at your throat who will cut your head off if you don't praise Allah. Or the Spanish inquisitor doing the same to Islamists and other flavors of christians in the middle ages.

Lame arguments like that are why more people don't believe in religious fantasy.
