Having been laid off in April

I don’t have the luxury of insurance right now

I don’t have the luxury that many who were laid off had of tons of money in the bank

This country and economy has failed me

I am once again living off of savings

In credit default and without healthcare

And now my student loans are coming due again

I love the Libertarians and Republicans who say it’s not their problem how others make ends meet

It must be nice to be born of inherited wealth

Must be nice to always have it figured out

Cashing out my 401k to make a student loan payment has left me so enraged and so raw that this economy and this failed state sold me a dream that in middle age has left me over and under educated; penniless and now…radical
