With localtunnel, I can run my own relay locally on my hardware and everyone else can query it. nice. (this is a test event btw)

Local tunnel supports web sockets, can it support raw TCP too? And is it free or cheap?

Idk if it supports raw tcp. I expect so. It's free to use the localtunnel provider or to run your own server.

not reliable though...

Where's the reliability issue? The software or the service?

it fails me/drops too often... and doesn't do LNURL stuff! i tend to use ngrok

I like ngrok but it's too expensive to use to keep a service continuously exposed to the web. There are some other alternatives to localtunnel that I'm considering, telebit and tunnel.pyjam.as look good and have different approaches. I need to do some fiddling. The end goal could be to provide a tunnel service to allow people to easily expose their home relay to the web to improve effectiveness of nip65.
