It seems like isolationism will be making a return, but that is only in the short-term. Tariffs will be proven to be a disastrous policy in the modern era. What we are actually witnessing is the death of American dominated globalism, and hopefully it can be replaced by a decentralized truly global form of free trade and exchange of information/goods.
