So you cant see these? https://files.sovbit.host/media/44dc1c2db9c3fbd7bee9257eceb52be3cf8c40baf7b63f46e56b58a131c74f0b/ef991effbf0a976951d6cc3d9021c607ef3d7a1918fa8668ff245e3c0586cfa5.webp
Only zappers, get out of here and don’t look at this note:
If I could ask one thing of the nostr client devs, it would be to make the reactions interchangeable. I can’t see the android/amethyst ones and it drives me insane.

Nope
This is unfortunate. I have so many good custom reactions. 😅
I want to see them so bad!
“Custom reactions” translates to image files which need to be hosted on some server - no different from “posting” an image or video on Nostr.
Are you seeing examples of standard emoji reactions which don’t translate between clients?
I’m sorry, I literally have no idea what you just said
Do you speak tard by chance?
lmfao let me try…
Emoji reactions - can see between clients? Yes/No
“Custom Image” reactions - can see between clients? Yes/No
First one yes
Second one no
🤷♀️
I think there’s your answer. First one is easy for all client devs to integrate, second is not.
There could be a NIP for custom image reactions, but standard emojis etc will always be easier to support cross-platform/app
I totally get that, I was just wondering if it would be possible or worthwhile. To me, it would be worth it, but I ain’t coding 😂
Gotcha. Maybe you already knew and qualified the difference in your OP, pls “tard” me up.
It’s not impossible but probably needs a standard / NIP before clients could consistently consume/didplay those custom reactions. (This could already exist, no idea)
Centralized easy, decentralized hard :)
