The problem with dumb people, which I am exposed to en masse on Gab, is that they make everything they don't understand into a supernatural evil conspiring to destroy them.

Power is interested in keeping two types of people: The ones who think nothing is a conspiracy (so there's no threat to it) and the ones who think that everything is a conspiracy (so they feel overwhelmed and powerless and thus are no threat to it)
I'd bet that the flat earth theory came out of a CIA lab...
