It's not surprising at all to me. If someone wants to post child pornography then text based notes aren't very good for that. At the moment, Nostr's image hosting functionality is fairly centralized and moderated, though I've heard some people who want to change this.

Personally, I hope this doesn't happen. If Nostr has to move to Tor, or if people end up accidentally committing crimes during normal browsinf (fetching child pornography in order to display in notes) then those would be huge barriers toward Nostr's growth and adoption.

There are alreadly platforms capable of hosting child pornography without getting taken down. I think there is no need for Nostr to become a decentralized, censorship resistent media host.
