It's gonna be really funny when the stock market bleeds and Bitcoin is rising. They need to remember Bitcoin is not the stock market.

You think it can happen? Man I just expect everything going up or circuit breakers…. Who knows. People’s retirements (USA/west) can’t be there like they expect either way. PMFV in a raw dog way…

I do. When people start being aware of how fast bitcoin moves to the upside and how scarce it is they will start taking money out of dividend stocks and buy bitcoin. They cascade that can happen is wild. Social security 401k retirement funds all going to shit and they seeing that everyday and now bitcoin is being talked about. I think is a matter of time untill this starts happening

Word. I agree but I’m worried it depends on self custody. Personally I think the ETFs are already “playing games” aka stealing. Eventually I hope enough will understand custody is the key. And unfortunately the rug pulls will continue. Hopefully those in power don’t use this as an excuse to outlaw the solution. PMFV.

With the arival of wall Street, I feel like this decoupling has become somewhat less likely,or at the very least prolonged and delayed. Bitcoin has been largely chained to these movements, and we can realistically only speculate how it will react in the event of a black swan.

The issue I see is with bankers putting their wealth into assets to appreciate their portfolios, they will use Bitcoin as any other investment vehicle for they do not care about its unique value proposition since they have a fiat mindset. This leaves it vulnerable to them dumping their Bitcoin as they would with any other asset once a crisis hits. I think we would need to see a currency, specifically USD "collapse" to facilitate a decoupling. Stock markets would likely drag Bitcoin down with them since fiat is there for them as a 'safe' and 'stable' asset.
