I have an older logitech mouse on my home server pc and a new bluetooth mouse on my newer everyday pc.
Many of you here knows about variety of #cybersecurity treats, but I'm sure there's still someone who doesn't know about #MouseJack attack and still uses outdated wireless mouse.
The volnurability has been discovered in 2016 but unfortunately there are still cheap wireless mouses on the shelfs prone to MouseJacking
It's basically getting into your computer from across the street in seconds just because you might be using an old or cheap wireless mouse. Not Bluetooth but wireless.
This little piece plugged into your #USB can be used by #hacker or a script kiddie to literally own your computer by injecting malicious scripts. It's really easy. (Watch video bellow)
This blog explains the #volnurability and have a list of devices and if you're using any of them do not use it gor everyday use.
The dongle is also not something you throw away and it can be used or be sold for penetration testing.

Nobody needs to touched physically anything. If you have an outdated device, a malicious actor can be across the street and get into your computer or your server remotely.
Check if your old Logitech is on the list in the blog I posted.
Or even better. But new patched device.
