How many artists lived their entire lives in the shadows just to be remember as legends today?
Imagined if those people had tried to impress their neighbors instead of us.
Or tried to impress anyone instead of themselves.

And yet how many great artists were very marketable and successful during their lifetime? Marketability can be a sign that you are headed in the right direction, plenty of people attempt art and fail, no doubt many just think they are "misunderstood" but are in actuality so disconnected that their art has no power to reach people.
