This could be a great use case for Cashu. Send tokens that can be expired or revoked if not claimed within a certain time frame. No need to have a Lightning address on the receiving end. You’re missing the point. Those services (really just one since Primal uses Strike) require KYC and aren’t available everywhere. They don’t offer any degree of privacy, and they have geographical restrictions, and they require registration in advance to receive them, unlike ecash tokens, which are just a blob of text that can be sent anywhere.
"custodial real sats" give your custodian full view of all your transactions. When they're ecash tokens, you have the same custodial risk but complete privacy from the custodian. It's a major upgrade

But if I am using it just for zaps it doesn’t matter at all. Because zaps are public anyway. At least on notes. If I want to use LN for purchases I will use Phoenix. It’s obviously not as private as ecash but good enough for my coffee.
