There’s never an excuse for toxic behavior. Toxic people try to look like the heroes of the world by saving us. As if you have to be toxic to stand up for yourself or call things out. That’s simply not true. Of course we’ll be called out as toxic by them if we say anything about it though. They will continue to live in their illusion though.
