It’s absolutely wild to pop onto twitter and see how many people I follow are still using it like nothing’s changed

Don’t allow anyone who still uses it to call it Twitter. They have to say X. It’s the real world blue check of shame.

Saw Chris Hayes trying to wriggle out of it. No man, you’re on X now. You X with your friends. That’s on you buddy

nostr:npub1mdky0njswyvy6esxh964apx9e6mmwt8am4wuqk3ds5p4xyaav2dqvlaptk I haven’t logged on in months. It’s not just that it’s dead to me, but I don’t want to know which personal friends are still on it

nostr:npub1mdky0njswyvy6esxh964apx9e6mmwt8am4wuqk3ds5p4xyaav2dqvlaptk I think this is the majority experience tbh. Quasi hot take but I don’t think it was worth leaving X completely unless one or more of the following applied :

* you were getting lots of right-wing abuse

* you were foregoing all corporate social media

* you were trying to improve your mental health

Seems like many people found that none of the would-be replacements were active enough or sufficiently insulated against X-esque problems (eg, the bad moderation on Bluesky)
