The Guardians push back: "Protect monetary use. Bloat leads to costs, which leads to centralization. Let users choose their filters. It is futile; the Force is strong with witness data."

NACK!

The PR's description reads like it was written by Citrea/Lopp, and oozes of gaslighting. There is no justification for this that aligns with protecting the network as a topmost priority. In fact, it's entirely contrary; a test of bitcoin's future as an instrument for anyone.
