In 2008 to get a legal "green card", if you were already in the US on a visa (which often takes years to get), took about 9 months and over $10,000 in "fees" for the forms submitted during the process.

Jumping the border and getting a fake SSN is quicker, cheaper, and you don't get immediately databased.

Sir, now if you jump the border USA will make sure that you will have SSN and benefits! They will also place you to the fancy hotels in the downtown
