Exactly, Disney has run its course and the hero turned villain.

Why save it? Because for decades it was a valuable part of American culture. Because Disney himself testified before Congress warning that Communists were already trying to take it over back when he was alive?
How about for the cultural momentum that wouldn't have to be started from scratch? How about for a redemption arc? How about for poetic justice?
I’m here for all of this. The above was just my casual take. I have no say in the matter.
Let’s see what story Disney unfolds. A redemptive arc tale, or a foreboding tragedy. It will be one or the other. I sure hope it is the former, and new (hopefully positive) cultural iconic companies will join the scene.
