Why do we price Bitcoin in dollars?

Why is Bitcoin "doing well" by this measure?

Is that dollar price clean?

Is it debt?

Is it real?

In a real deflation, we might see Bitcoin go down in dollar price, as it gains market share as global money.

Dollars seem to be a very retarded way to understand what is going on.
