We used to wrap code at 80 columns to make things easier to read on a terminal. Graphic text editors and large monitors eliminated the need for it.

But now we need to wrap at 47 to make code readable in phones, which is where most people will be able to read it.

Please tell me this is not an actual discussion happening in developer spaces.... I always hated the 80 column wrap with a passion.

I do review a lot of code on the go, so I see the benefit directly. It's all about inclusivity. Way more people have phones than computers.

Fair enough... if it helps you, have at it! I simply would not have the same discipline. 🫡
