A new dragonfly!

If I've got the ID right (Common Green Darner) then it's probably not very remarkable.

But I'm so excited bc it's a new type of dragonfly! All the others in my garden are skimmers. This one's in a whole new section of my dragonfly guide & that just makes me so ridiculously happy lol.

And wow is it gorgeous! Reminds me of antique jewelry - like something in a museum.

Most likely just migrating thru & not a new resident - but it absolutely made my day!
