🧢 ADVICE NEEDED 🧢

I inherited a bunch of these 2 yarns. I don't normally care for knitting with 100% pure synthetics, but the need does arise for my wool-allergic friends.

Is anyone familiar with these yarns? Are they on the cheap end of the scale or...? How will it wear? Any insight will be gratefully received. Thank you!

🧢🧢 HELP NEEDED! 🧢🧢

Hi Knitterati! Requesting your help in selecting a yarn for sweater for my Mom...

She just turned 90, still very active. She picked out this great pattern. Wants a deep, warm red, which she wears well.

Calls for ~2,000 yards, fingering weight. Probably non-superwash? (But not critical.) Shown in 100% merino, worsted ply.

Daily, she wears turtleneck + pullover. Pix of Kara and my Mom follow!

nostr:npub1qjrnqjusmvy883kcl3qvlrzy3ye2pdxj0zvhfcy7enqcgaksj04se0kgt0 I like using the bulb shaped safety pins. I bought them from a yarn shop before I learned one can buy them much more cheaply for attaching hang tags.

nostr:npub1czzjjq0yysrpmvck7ftp329004t0z0usnwfqqrq894vh4l9na97q2hv0as I love those too! Have a bunch I use as stitch markers too. I like them especially when I'm on the smaller needles.

Locks it in! For other yarns I always feel safer knotting ends first then weaving in, but I wait until I'm several inches beyond, so I get tension right. I try to make yarn changes mid-row, bc I don't like knot lumps at edge. Lastly, I'm trying Romi Hill's technique of washing and blocking FIRST, then weaving in ends AFTER. Will report back! ❣️🧢😊
