Using Your Phone To Store Bitcoin?

"In this video, I discuss the risks of using a hot wallet on your phone or desktop to store your long-term Bitcoin savings.

Any device that can be connected to the internet is less secure and can inadvertently expose your private keys.

By contrast, a good hardware wallet will both generate your private keys and sign your transactions inside the hardware wallet and will not expose these to the internet.

Hot wallets on your phone or desktop are fine, but treat them like your physical wallet or purse. Don't keep more money in them than you would be comfortable walking around with.

A phone is never a good place to store your long-term Bitcoin savings. Use a hardware wallet instead (single sig or multi-sig)."
