Years ago, italian government put a mandatory 100€/year tax state TV broadcasting company RAI.

Since many people decided to never pay such a bullshit tax, a few years ago italian government mandated the electricity supplier to collect the tax in its behalf.

Many people opted out declaring they don't have TV in their house (lol).

So the government is deciding to apply this same tax if you own a smartphone.
