I keep trying to think about this problem in a different way because, throughout human history, there were always clear hierarchies of power. Freedom is anything but the norm. The sheep can’t stray beyond their nature. Even if we get rid of fiat, how long until these dynamics creep back in? Brainwashing and abuse of the sheep seem inevitable which means this may repeat even under a Bitcoin standard.
Having a strong, global, neutral property right (for the first time ever) mitigates, if not fixes, this.
I hope so but people are so dumb and easily brainwashed I sometimes worry that they'll demand a different shittier currency.
It's a start for sure. And if myself, or some others I know, are representative example, once you go self custody and get past that scary feeling, you start a domino effect of self sovereign realizations

Maybe in this cycle individuals can heed the warnings of the elders who have lived through a cycle.......maybe live long enough to see it broken and onto a more empathetic pathway.
