I carry cash, and buy a Bitrefill/TheBTCco gift card with Bitcoin via Lightning if I don't have quite enough cash on me. It's not that tough to avoid using a bank card.

Like 50 cents USD... But you get Bitcoin back on many types of gift cards so usually I come out ahead.
