What is the difference between increasing the fiat money supply and artificially increasing the value of crypto?

If crypto is exchanged to dollars for example, Doesn't that have the same inflationary effect which fiat is criticized for?

I see value in crypto currencies, so far as they are being used for payment (Isn't this the original purpose?), but hoarding and hoping to get rich is no better than the rich crooks behind banks.

Even the argument about investing are the same. I see the whole thing as followed:

"The game is rigged, let's rig too."
