Send a picture of Adam Back before they make another one of those.
That's exactly what is happening. Tether and other financial institutions are buying bitcoin with loaned fiat. That is mainly what is driving the price up. Once the banks sort out the blockchain, bitcoin will be confiscated the same way gold was confiscated. People will receive their digital dollar, stablecoin, cbdc, or whatever they will call it.
He is in jail for his libertarian views, not for taxes. Trump and Musk want to seem libertarian by releasing a criminal, in reality they are technocrats.
My feed after muting #bitcoin in #nostr.

Responded as fast as a bot. Assange was accused of sexual assault too.
He's weird but I don't think he's a pedo. What's your reason for smearing him?
We need more good people like Stallman, and less greedy bastards.
Even if you don't know Linux well enough, you should know these common terms to blend in
These really are the key components which comprise a Linux system. Unlike Windows, which is a single stack, and you don't have any options to swap anything out, Linux is a more modular system.
In case that sounds too complicated, most distros that a user downloads, are complete to install and run. Some may just offer a choice of which desktop environment you'd like to install, or which type of file system, but if in doubt they will have defaults on offer.
So this jargon guide is quite useful to quickly understanding what the different terminology is, especially if you need to log an issue or a request on a user forum or a software project.
With so many new Linux users on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Steam Decks, etc, it has got a lot more friendly and helpful to novice users. Getting to grips with some key jargon, though, does make one feel at home a lot more quickly.

Used linux mint for almost ten years, then I switched to arch. It is a learning experience, the alternative is enslavement. This year probably many windows users will be forced to learn the basic of Linux.
The future of #bitcoin is difficult to grasp. Look at Amazon. Amazon grew at a lost for about 20 years. They sold cheaper goods to cut the competition and gain customers. Then you can sell them services. That is how they became one of the biggest companies in history.
Bitcoin grows in value as more and more people buy it. If people think that once the value goes to $1M, then people will use it "freely", they are delusional. Bitcoin has made it clear they don't just want some transaction fees. What every blockchain wants is to provide financial services for governments since they are the only ones allowed to issue legal tender.
Most blockchain technologies want to be adopted by governments, and bitcoin is no different. They don't just want a few customers, they want whole countries. Although, many are scams or try to give some value like privacy, most are competing to be the tech or base for stablecoin, cbcd, or what they will be called.
Reality is harsh.
All roads lead to #cbdc. The popular thing right now is to say 'no cbdc'. It's just a matter of time. Stablecoins are the first step preparing the banks, the big step is choosing the blockchain that will serve as a base. You can take that to whatever bank you like.
I use the browser to access nostr. There are several extensions, nostr on android sucks, I am using 3 different web apps to make it functional for me.
Politicians lie, it's they job as they take orders from the rich and talk to the poor. #CBDC's are still a few years away. In the meantime they are boosting stablecoins. Once they sort out the blockchain they will use, they will add the #stablecoin on top. Seems counteractive, but they can't pull the rug yet.
Now imagine cbdc with even more steps and you discover bitcoin.
I read the #EO. Basically it is putting cbdc on hold while buying reserves and further testing stable coins.
The fact is that the fed wants cbdc, there are many things to sort out yet, and the new puppet needs to sound trust worthy.
On Jan. 19, after a 12-hour outage, #TikTok resumed service for its U.S. users, but many noticed what they believe to be a shift in their experience. Shortly after regaining access on Sunday, creators began posting videos expressing concerns that the platform’s recommendation algorithm felt different.
...
Washington is actively targeting Chinese tech companies that are gaining global prominence and influencing technology standards. This is evident in actions taken against Huawei’s 5G infrastructure, TikTok’s social media platform, and efforts to restrict China’s access to advanced semiconductor technology. Tech imperialism indeed.
