the term "Minor Attracted Person" doesn't solve the issues raised by the term "Pedophile"

"Pedo" refers to children. a human being transitions from being a child to being an adolescent between the ages of 9 and 13 or so. yet doesn't legally become an "adult" until 18.

So what if you want to fuck a 15 year old ? are you a pedophile ? Biologically no, but legally yes.

a "Minor" ( as opposed to a "child" ) is a person under the age of 18 ... the problem is a 5 year old is also under the age of 18 and also a "minor" while simultaneously being a child.

we need terminology that clearly differentiates between Children, Adolescents and Adults. the terminology currently in use, both "Pedophile" and "Minor Attracted Person" fails to do that.

the terminology we need would be something like "Adolescent Attracted Person"

all these Anime Lolis everybody jerks off to are adolescents, probably about 13-15 for the most part.

why is it morally OK to fuck a 13 year old but not a 6 year old ? because 13 year olds enjoy sex while 6 year olds do not. it's the puberty stupid.

when a girl has her first period and a boy has his first ejaculation they become an adolescent and morally OKAY to fuck. but not legally though.

it is not up to me to change the laws, but the least we can do is at least develop language that accurately reflects reality, which is something we don't currently have.

i want to clarify that this particular discussion of age of consent so to speak is only in the context of "normal" straight sex, that can be rationally expected to be enjoyable.

it is NOT rational to expect for example that an adolescent boy would enjoy getting ass fucked and far more reasonable to assume he is being abused.

and yes i do realize that for the most part it is the gays who are interested in fucking young boys whereas straight men are perfectly happy for the most part to wait until the girl is 18 ...

but this isn't just about us adults. all this talk about how children need to be protected seems to imply that adolescents themselves do not have a need for sex like everybody else. they perhaps do not have a need for sex with adults but they have a need for SOME sex, even if only with themselves.

teaching abstinence is BARBARIC and only one step above ritual genital mutilation, because it completely disregards the needs of the person taking into account the perceived benefits to society only. this type of thinking is what led to the Aztec human sacrifices - we are supposed to be better than this.

that just proves my point. some countries base it on age and others on marriage status. NOT ONE country actually bases it on physiological puberty. because it's all about maintaining a particular social order, whereas the needs of an individual are not considered at all. just like nobody asks little boys if they want to be circumcised or not.

It’s a simplification to free up the courts. Too much energy to look at every case.

Perhaps if technology improves to a certain point where it becomes simple to determine maturity then this would become more individually defined.

In context, if society does not have a welfare state perhaps marriage is not a misguided requirement, minimizing potential requirement for charity for single parent situations.

There are differences across the world and one can choose to a degree where to live if unhappy.

you remind me of when i was like 10 years old and my friend's younger brother was 7 and we were watching TV and the news was like " there is not enough money to do this " etc. and the 7 year old was like " the government should give everybody money ! " and i thought to myself - how is it possible to be this stupid ?

that's how i am feeling right now all over again. it's disheartening to say the least, and i'm tired.

hopefully one of these days i will find the energy to respond.

It is good to question rules every so often, but I do not believe there is an easy method at this point in time to determine maturity, age of consent.

Therefore, an age test that likely covers the majority is the best system at this stage.

Those of adult age as so defined should have the competence to understand the rule objectively and abide by it.

If they want change, sure, see what others think on the matter on platforms such as this and if there is general support then test it with the local people and representative. Perhaps it could be changed.

At this point given technology and other issues in society, I do not think this is a big deal. One also has the choice of moving location to a jurisdiction that is more agreeable to their beliefs if they are smart enough to pass immigration requirements.

So by all means, carry on. You have a point but not sure it will fly more broadly at this point in time.
