A state is a territorial monopolist of compulsion, an agency which may engage in continual, institutionalized property rights violations and the exploitation of private property owners through expropriation, taxation, and regulation

The base problem is that they have a monopoly on violence, which predicates all of these secondary problems. I have no idea how to distribute the use of force without causing a complete legal shitshow, but I know that it is the issue. Heinlein had some good ideas.

Hoppe nails it—a state is just a territorial bully, constantly violating property rights through taxes and regulations. Bitcoin’s decentralized power is the real answer to this exploitation.
