She doesn't even have a phone, but her retarded school gives her online homework. She doesn’t need them except when she’s at school and has to read off the blackboard, doesn’t wear them outside of that. But my wife has glasses, needs them all the time. Mostly, I blame her.

Does she eat liver? A lot of vitamin A which would help her during this developmental stage.
no, I try to cook steak and lamb as much as I can, and she eats pretty well, (even oysters), but like most kids likes carbs. Buy a lot of organic berries for that, and it’s become an expensive habit, but better than the alternative.
Better than 99.9% of what parents are doing. Good job.
They say that an ounce of liver a day can have a dramatic improvement for your health. At her age, you could probably give her less than half and it shouldn’t be too hard. She will thank you for it when she’s older.
I agree, but she won’t do it. Already delayed the phone until 16 (way longer than her friends) and am strict about what food is in the house, but I can’t get her to eat liver. She will eat oysters though, and we have them a lot.
I don’t have kids so it’s easy for me to say this lol but there are some interesting psych related videos on YouTube about finding ways to motivate kids to eat healthier foods. Just an idea that might help. The trick is to find what motivates them or what they want and then show them how what they want aligns with eating liver. For example, when I was kid I liked to eat spinach because I watched popeye and thought it would give me bigger muscles. I know it’s a psyop but you can make a healthy psyop for her 😅
I once put raw liver, avocado, a raw egg, turmeric powder, black pepper and some other things into a blender, poured it into a ziplock, but the edge of the ziplock and dripped out dots on parchment paper which I froze. I ate them, wife and daughter didn’t want any part of it!
My kid is extremely strong willed, so much that her teachers and basketball coach complain to us that she doesn’t respect their authority and causes problems. I don’t care at all, but I tell her if she doesn’t want to get thrown out, she’ll have to go along with them to a degree.
Hard to get her to do things she doesn’t want, so we just try and create conditions that are healthy and trust her to not be an idiot when she’s out of the house.
She’s a beast — 5-6, strong as hell, plays on the under-16 basketball team at 12, pushes them around.
Knock on wood, everything in the world is precarious, but she seems to be doing okay, except for the glasses!
I’ve seen valid arguments that liver is totally unnecessary as a daily and that it can potentially cause harmful outcomes. But idk if a developing person is a different story.
When hunters used to kill game they would easy the organs fresh and then find ways preserve the meat (dry / cook) and then eat the muscle flesh for a long time after before need a other kill and then getting organ meats again.
I try to mimic that rhythm myself. Generally I’ll eat a pound of good liver every month or so. 4 ounces a day macro dose then leave it alone for a few weeks at least.
Yeah I can see the logic in that. Our ancestors weren’t eating liver every day and they typically shared the organs with the tribe so how much were they actually eating in a week? I think the best way is to just follow your body. If eating liver tastes gross or doesn’t seem appealing, then don’t eat it. You probably don’t need it at that time. But later you’ll crave it. That only works if you aren’t grossed out by liver lol so the psychological aspect makes it tricky.
