#LivingMyTruth

This morning at the hotel in #Andorra, I spotted a girl who works here and immediately knew she was Dominican like me.

I hesitated at first but decided to ask her. I'm so glad I did because she was indeed Dominican!

We hugged at least five times, shared some laughs, and exchanged our thoughts.

The emotion, love, and sense of belonging I felt afterward were indescribable.

It's been four years since I left my homeland, the Dominican Republic.

Being an immigrant really changes your perspective. You learn to appreciate the little things, find joy in unexpected connections, and realize that home is more than just a place—it's the people who make you feel at home, no matter where you are.

I saw another Aussie exiting Tokyo airport metro to get into the airport where they have this rule where you have to pay half the train fare when you buy a ticket and the other half when you arrive at your destination. I was like 'this is fucked' and he was like 'yeah this is completely fucked'🇦🇺
