this is 100% spot on. i don’t get the obsession with making bitcoin “for everyone”. it’s been battle-tested for over a decade now. seed phrases and sats got us here. why change what already works? there are so many other things that we can work on to increase bitcoin adoption. i just don’t think these two will make any significant difference.

Pandering to the mentally challenged masses is an absolute mistake, not an inch.

Bitcoin changes you, not the other way around.

If you are too stupid to understand Sats, you are also too stupid to contribute to society and generate income

Psyop. Just orange pill your friends with cashu or liquid and don't even interact with these idiots on corporate platforms (on nostr is ok)

Protecting the option for some to choose the personal responsibility route is key - most wont, but keeping the option available is more important than the % who choose it.

Analog seed, offline signing device, mesh network, protected by tight community of neighbors, large loyal dogs and guns.

It's a psyop.

What makes this complicated is the stakes. Sure, people can be forgetful, lazy, or imprecise. But losing generational wealth has never been a consequence of this before bitcoin. I 100% believe in self-custody with an air-gapped cold wallet but very few of us started there. It should be the finish line, not the starting line.
