We homeschool and I had my son take a standardized exam at the end of this school year to get an idea of how his curriculum is going compared to traditional school. He scored in the 95th percentile or above in every subject for his grade level. Pretty proud moment.

Wow. Amazing. What’s your approach?
We take a fairly relaxed approach. He spends about 2-3 hours a day on course work and then we do other extracurricular stuff, like music lessons, activities with other families we know, visiting parks, play time, etc.
What are you using? We’re a couple years away but looking for suggestions/ thoughts.
We’ve used several lol. We started out using a couple of all in one box set curriculums, since we had no idea what we were doing and those come with everything you need. This year we used an online curriculum called Time4Learning. There were some things I liked about each of them but I didn’t love any of them completely. I’ll probably piece his curriculum together for this next year now that we have a little better idea what we’re doing and what our state requires.
Love! Homeschooling is so amazing
Congratulations to him!!!
Yes! 🙌 So proud of him. Thank you 🙏
I happily zap you for your family's achievement, partly in protest of 75% of my property taxes "required" for the local schools.
😂🔥🫡
Comparing your system using the other system metric?
This is parenting done correctly, you should be very very proud 👏@corndalorian
congrats!!!
my kid isnt in school yet but i am worried about sending her to public school because i don’t want her to get turned in to a retarded gay statist.
but when i was a kid all the homeschooled kids i knew were children of hippies or religious zealots and regardless of their parents were socially retarded. either killjoy narks crying for mommy yo resolve all their problems or totally out of control spazzs
so id like to avoid that if i decide to homeschool.
i would like her to spend the same amount of time with kids hrr age that public school kids do but without being indoctrinated and forced to learn at the slowest kid’s pace
Bravo!
What curriculum guidance you follow? I am considering homeschooling myself.
I bet in the meme sections was he was top .001%

Wow you guys showed this post a lot of love. Homeschooling has been a very positive experience for our family, and I encourage any of you to consider it with your own kids if it’s an option. Several of the replies asked about our choice of curriculum. Rather than try to reply to each one individually, I’ll write up a post later talking about our approach and what we’ve used.
I was homeschooled and generally scored in a similar range on most exams.
We’ve heard similar from friends of ours that homeschool as well. It just reinforces our decision even more to go this route with our kids’ education.
Boarding school is a great option if you get fed up with your kids after a while 😂
🤣🤣🤣
What did you organise for p2p social interactions?
