It's only great if the client renders what's in it otherwise most will just be random strings with no meaning
Better put some meaning in it then.
The meaning is there, it's on the client to display the meaning the right way for the user to see it. Your post should be displayed with the working video shown just like if you'd shared the .mp4 except doing it 71 adds a whole new compatibility for all other clients to render.

Even after 71 support? I support sharing things kind1 but when clients properly render 71 why post a link to an mp4 instead of a signed event that can be used by all kinds of clients?
we are already struggling to bootstrap adoption, splintering what little network effect we have does not help
71 builds network effect more than .mp4. If you post an mp4 then the network effect ends on the kind1. If 71 is supported, now the entire network can use the content and grow nostr. The kind1 should render 71 just like an mp4 plus a whole new suite of nostr products have content to draw in users that want a YouTube or Tiktok experience that kind1 doesn't support.
Yea. Realizing that. Will ask Claude to embed the URL in the kind1 too.
I'm still baffled that the thing works. My previous attempts at mobile dev were much less productive. (5yrs ago...)
