Does anyone on nostr have an interest in learning to tan hides and/or sew into sandals, slippers or other clothing? I have 3 sheep hides I can send you. We can discuss if you need them salted or scraped or whatever prior to sending.

Tanning stuff and using is awesome! I’ve only brain tanned items and it’s a ton of work but a great result. Folks usually give me deerskin but I won’t take it without the brain 🧠

Anyway, awesome you’re offering these up for folks.

I wish I could get the brain from the butcher. I think I'll have to dispatch myself if I want to do it. I feel like haalal might be the only way to preserve it for use
