Trump's speech at the Nashville conference left me with the impression that he'd be willing to think about trying to pressure government agencies to 'leave us alone to play with our bitcoins' in exchange for our vote in November. That doesn't really feel like a position that would merit an assassination attempt.
Then again, we don't know what we don't know.
