In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

The existence of Jahannam serves as both a dire warning and a realm for divine justice. Its purpose is twofold: punishment for those who reject faith and purification for some sinners before they enter Jannah.

The torment in Jahannam is unimaginable, far more severe than any earthly fire. It is a dark, stifling place with flames that leap out in rage, boiling fluids, and molten copper. The skins of the damned are perpetually burned and renewed, intensifying their suffering. May Allah protect us from such an end.

Among the dwellers of Jahannam are those who committed major sins without repentance, including engaging in Ribaa (usury), both giving and taking. Such sinful acts weigh heavily in the scales of justice. The Qur'an explicitly warns that those who practice Ribaa are waging war against Allah and His Messenger (SAW).

Let Jahannam serve as a reminder for us to stay vigilant against sin and to make continuous repentance. Let us shun major sins like Ribaa, which not only harm society but also doom the soul.
