They argue it’s a right to vote, therefore the government can not infringe upon this right in any way.

Now take the right of keeping and baring arms…they infringe all the time and don’t give a shit.

Hypocrites unmoored from first principles.

But even their excuse is illogical nonsense, because it literally prevents no one who actually has the right to vote, the right to vote. You only get to vote if you are a citizen, so how does proving you are one take away voting rights if anybody?

Thats like saying having to show your ID to withdraw from your bank account takes away your right to a bank account. When what it obviously ACTUALLY does is let any thief walk in, claim they are you, and take your money.

Example: denying someone the right to vote because they forgot their ID at home.

Then they can’t vote if they can’t prove who they are. Thats a perfectly reasonable requirement to participate in an institution that spends $7 trillion a year.
