I understood the goal behind that initiative; kinda like pay it forward

never partook in it myself, but I got the sense it was altruistic in nature

I’ve heard support horror stories, but in my personal experience, I’ve had impeccable interactions

I won a shakepay contest and the prize was a #coldcard, when I got it it was bricked, so contacted coinkite CS, but - not to disparage them as a company - the experience sucked, they dragged their feet the whole way, even after I provided video proof

the shakepay CS rep assigned to this issue straightaway said they would reorder a new one and send it to me themselves

🤷 that’s my two sats

I get that every person's experience is different. I acutally have one of their original grey t-shirts and stickers from when I refer 10 people to the app lol. Now I use any other exchange but them 😆

Shakepay is solid but fully KYC and if you ask there support “they are under no obligation” to disclose if they’re using chain surveillance. Bullbitcoin is the way to go in Canada. I do love the 1000 free sats per day though, 1% sats back on the debit card is fun too.
