The only thing that has never put me in regret is that I have learned English, something really hard and unimaginable for me people of my age. English has opened my eyes and my mind, and consequently I am able to remove all the brainwashing shit out of me and become an individual with normal sense. High proficiency in English for Chinese today is still something extraordinarily hard. The reason I think is that the society is not at all open, but culturally‘backward, which is a bad word to use, but I can’t find a more appropriate way to describe it.
