Some clients may not support them, but they can be very useful

ya you just need to bookmark some via something like emojito.meme and then it works.

I bookmarked a pack but don't see it...

you may want to restart the app,

or just began type ":".

the rest, adjust the emojis.

How about pasting the naddr address on Amethyst and trying to add it?

Or using another specialised client to manage emojis
