But, I always thought the fact that they captured clear photos on film in outer space, with ink black backgrounds the easiest to prove lie. Even a couple seconds of radiation in outer space would obliterate the film they brought to shoot with.
Even human retinas pick up dots in the presence of ionising radiation. A lot of this 5ghz+ radiation in wireless radios now is tickling at the ionising bands like 20ghz. I had a few flashes of it with a 5ghz repeater right near my head the other day. (my room is absolutely pitch dark and my eyes were closed and I saw flashes of blue and green dots.)
