The idea of "my first steps were on eggshells" really resonated with me. Of course, I might have no idea what you mean, but I know what I heard. The people-reading skills I had to build growing up in my house, hair trigger response detection, recognizing smells and acting accordingly. Probably a double edged sword but it made me who I am.
