But itโ€™s also why complexity appeals to stupid people. Looks and sounds complex, must be valuable/smart.

Thinking through genuine (sic!) complexity (a.k.a. intellectual proof-of-work) is valuable by definition. What I meant earlier is that (stupid or not) people tend to fall for pseudo-intellectual complexity that often disguises ignorance.

Yes, I was just pointing out that the two are sides of the same coin.
