This evening, my wife and I met with a stranger to buy his motherboard. We start chatting Bitcoin, philosophy, sociology, leadership, interpersonal relationships, marriage and dating, and the way Bitcoin will change the world.
What was ostensibly a brief meet for exchange turned into a significant and small impromptu Bitcoin meetup. It felt really good.
Then, I ask if he wants dollars or sats. He says, "Tell you what. If you pay me in sats I'll give you half off." We jumped at the trade. Then I realized and told my wife afterwards that even though Bitcoin is valued at about $28,000 right now, in our trade of Bitcoin for computer motherboard he valued Bitcoin at over $56,000 per Bitcoin. That's the power of no third party interfering in our trade.
Isn't that interesting? 🤔
