A few years ago, I visited my Dad in New Hampshire. In the small town where he lived, there was a farmer's market on Saturday mornings. It met alternately in the parking lot of the town hall or at the elementary school.
No fees. No permits. Just a random gathering of well meaning community members who had things of value to exchange with one another...π
Fees I can understand if a location is private property, or if an event provides some useful service or supplies electricity, or even organization and advertising. However, "permits" ultimately benefit none but the parasite class.π€¨π€
