I just realized we need relays to have distinctive icons, that's what will guarantee the success of Nostr. The Wine, Lol and Band relays all have very distinctive icons that I see popping up in many clients. We need more.

We're having custom code returning the gorgeous damus logo just so our relay list looks better in nostr:npub1gp4xzpmluelsakjtayc4wtzj97fhj5kakqjvsannu00xkdlf4x8s0xdqyq
icons would give them an identity, allow people to remember them.
they would allow relays with special features to stand out visually in listings.

what is the optimum seriousness of a fiatjaf note? when it is too vague, people can hurt because nostr protocol will be unstable for days. when it is too obvious it is not fun anymore. very curious about the optimum level. the fiatjaf should answer! crowds are angry.

Ya unfortunately, (or not), amethyst was the first to support relay icons, but used favicons.. and now I'm screwed having to deploy one of these dumb zip favicon generator things with apple and Android and 5 different formats for all the browsers 😭😂😅
I want to make this a feature for relay.tools.. so the icons aren't all the same (stolen from nostr21) but I know that no one is gonna want to make a favicon and upload it somehow.
Nip11 has an image field, not sure if it's being used or not.. (or what format it should be).
Why names if they have hostnames?
