I recommend giving Nostros a try. Plasma is another client I'm keeping an eye on, it's still missing some things but looks like it could be a nice client in the future. Amethyst looks nice but has always been unusable for me due to severe lag.

I found a faq for the project on GitHub but no source or downloads for the client itself. I'll try to contact the author and find out if it is or not.
